Wedding Dress Alterations and Repairs in Minsk — Atelier Prices

Bridal salon-atelier Ritiko in Minsk alters wedding dresses to fit — including dresses bought at other salons or ordered online: we recut, take in, shorten, and work with corsets and trims.

All prices on this page are indicative. Bridal garments require delicate handling and handwork: they are often multilayered (tulle, linings, lace, corset inserts), and that is what determines the cost of each operation. The exact price is confirmed after the master inspects the dress construction.

1. Fit alterations and corset work

Corset garments and fit alterations are the most labor-intensive processes: they require complex recutting or fitting along shaped (princess) seams.

Service Price
Body adjustment without a corset from 115–170 BYN
Body adjustment with a corset from 210 BYN
Take in side seams / princess seams from 75–115 BYN
Take in the center back seam from 45–115 BYN
Shorten the bodice / adjust shoulder straps from 45–115 BYN

2. Length and skirt work: layers, tulle, trains

Wedding dresses often consist of several layers — satin, crinoline, stiff netting or tulle, and a top lace fabric. Each layer is handled separately.

Service Price
Hem shortening (simple cut / 1 layer) from 55–125 BYN
Lace dress hem shortening from 160 BYN
Cutting / shortening tulle (per running meter) from 14 BYN
Full shortening (lining + tulle) from 125 BYN
Cut off / remove a train from 55–135 BYN
Sleeve length alteration from 60–80 BYN

Please note: for a full shortening of a multilayer skirt, any new tulle needed is paid for separately.

3. Haberdashery, minor repairs, custom work

Installing bra cups for bust support, replacing hidden or reinforced zippers, and making items for the bride's comfort — for example, a train loop.

Service Price
Installing cups in the bodice (labour + cups) from 55–100 BYN
Hidden / regular zipper replacement from 36–90 BYN
Corset lacing replacement / reinforcement from 65 BYN
Making a train loop from 9–29 BYN
Complex recutting of a garment from 305–610 BYN

4. Finishing (steam treatment)

Before the wedding, the dress must undergo steam treatment.

Service Price
Steaming a wedding dress from 32–125 BYN
Steaming a veil from 36 BYN

What the price depends on

  1. Construction complexity. A corset, boning, wires, cups and complex lacing increase the cost of work by an average of 30–50% compared to a straight-cut dress.
  2. Number of layers. Tulle and handmade lace require layer-by-layer shortening: first the lining, then each tulle layer separately, and lastly the top lace with its scalloped edge preserved — one of the most expensive services in the price list.
  3. Inspection before the work starts. The rates above cover standard cases; non-standard fabric, complex embellishment or a large volume of work can increase the cost, so we always inspect the garment before we begin.
